Kenya Power & Lighting Company owns and operates most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in the country and sells electricity to over 4.8 million customers. The company is distributed nationally, operating year-round 24/7. Company operations are conducted and supported by thousands of employees (including sub-contractors), hundreds of facilities and operations. Corporate – HQ located at Nairobi, – structure consists of 12 divisions. The company is further divided into 10 administrative regions that encompass 47 counties.
Lorin Security Consultants experts were contracted to be a part of the security consultant’s team for the project. Services included: Risk assessment (55 sites), development of Security Master Plan, development of Company Security Policy, formulation of Technical specifications, Tender and Supervision on implementation.
