Description
Essar Oil’s Vadinar refinery in Gujarat started commercial production in May 1, 2008. Having completed its phase 1 expansion (March 2012) and optimization (June 2012) projects, it is now India’s second-largest single – location refinery, with an annual capacity of 20 mmtpa, or 405,000 barrels per day (bpd) up from 14.7 mmtpa/ 300,000 bpd previously, and complexity of 11.8, up from 6.1 previously. This puts the Vadinar refinery amongst the world’s most complex refineries.
The security project comprises conducting security audits in the complex assets including corporate HQ, jetty, cross country pipeline, crude tank farm, refinery, power station, holding and distribution facilities. Development of security master plan for implementation of remedial mitigation
